Dr. Desta and family

Desta Langena Letta became a follower of Jesus Christ at a very early age. His story goes back to the early years before he was even born, when the first white missionaries arrived in Ethiopia. Dr. Desta is a man chosen by God to carry the message of salvation through Jesus Christ, throughout Ethiopia and beyond. This calling continues today even after spending months in prison under the communist government in 1987.

Dr. Desta received his degree in Physics from Addis Ababa University and his Masters in Missions at Bethany School of Missions in Singapore. He received his Doctoral degree in Missiology at Western Seminary, in Portland Oregon USA.

Dr. Desta is the founder and director of the Ambaricho International Prayer & Missions Movement (AIPM).

URGENT UPDATE & Prayer request

As many of you know, Dr. Desta was scheduled to visit a number of Church’s around the USA in April and May. Due to the Corona Virus, that is impacting the whole world, we have cancelled this visit. We will be rescheduling his visit after it is safe for Dr. Desta to travel and churches throughout the country are able to gather for worship.

Please continue to pray for the men and women serving with AIPM throughout Ethiopia. I can assure you that all of our 250 missionaries are praying for us in the USA and Canada on a daily basis. This will also be an especially difficult time with regards to support for our missionaries. Please help out with extra gifts if you are able. This will help make up for the many in Ethiopia and abroad that are not able to give due to the loss of income during this difficult time.
